Luigi focuses his practice in corporate and estate planning matters, as well as in national and international arbitration.

As an active member of FABREGA MOLINO’s Estate Planning and Corporate Practice Areas, he advises private and corporate clients in various matters.

Luigi has experience in shareholder and corporate disputes, especially in family-owned companies. Thanks to his experience in this type of conflicts, he understands that disputes in family-owned companies require a different approach compared to general shareholder disputes.

He regularly advises local and international clients, family businesses and groups, and law firms on a variety of matters, including challenge of sanctions, general civil proceedings, commercial matters, and dispute resolution for family businesses, including the drafting of contracts and wills.

Luigi is able to provide efficient advice due to his experience setting up and managing complex corporate structures that include corporations, limited liability companies and private interest foundations. He has also participated in the closing of important mergers and acquisitions transactions, as well as in complicated corporate restructurings.

  • Current representation of a local family-owned company with a majority participation in a company specializing in sugar production. We are representing the company before the courts and a regulatory agency in numerous multi-million-dollar disputes with one of the shareholders.
  • Current representation in court of a foreign energy company in recovering a multi-thousand-dollar debt from a Panamanian client.
  • Current representation before the Panama shipping courts of an international insurance company against multi-thousand-dollar claims arising from marine accidents.
  • Corporate restructuring in 2019 of more than fifteen Panama entities with multi-million-dollar assets in Panama. Our client had high expenses related to having a high number of entities. To reduce these expenses, we proposed a complete restructuring of the corporate structure, which has maximized our client’s investments in Panama prime real estate.
  • Representation of the majority shareholders of a local family-owned conglomerate in a dispute with a minority shareholder in 2018. Our representation included acting in more than fifty complaints that were filed because of the multi-million-dollar dispute, which was settled for a confidential amount.
