Juan Raul is an associate in the tax area of ​​the Firm. His practice focuses on the tax aspects of complex commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and everything related to the Special Investment Regimes of Panama.

In complex cross-border transactions, he has represented national and international companies from various economic sectors, such as retail and wholesale trade, energy, aviation, mining, and banking. Similarly, he has advised companies on corporate restructuring, joint ventures, debt and guarantee structuring, and mergers and acquisitions.

His experience in tax practice focuses on advising different economic sectors on the tax implications of their transactions, the application of Double Taxation Treaties, advice on tax residence issues in the Republic of Panama, the establishment of companies in free zones and special regimes such as the Colon Free Zone, the Panama-Pacific Area, and the Multinational Corporation Headquarters (SEM for its acronym in Spanish) regime, as well as compliance with the requirements of each of these zones and the application of the rules of Transfer Pricing in intercompany transactions.

He also focuses his practice advising local and international companies, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals, family groups, family businesses, corporations, law firms, banks and other institutions, in general, commercial and private client matters, including contracts, wealth planning and succession planning matters, real estate and performing corporate due diligence processes.
