International Flights Opening Regulations

That by means of the Executive Decree 244 of March 19th, 2020, the Government of Panama, for national health reasons, suspended all the international flights from March 22nd, 2020, prorogated until October 12th, 2020.

That the Executive Decree 1089 of September 23rd, 2020, the Ministry of Health approved that from October 12th, 2020 until December 31st 2020, all the nationals, residents and tourist that would like to travel to the Republic of Panama, must comply with the following:

  1. A negative SARS-CoV-2 (Covid 19) RT-PCR / Antigen test within a forty-eight (48) hours period, previous the traveller boarding;
  2. In case the traveller, before their boarding, does not provide the negative result from the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid 19) RT-PCR / Antigen test, the traveller must take a SARS-CoV-2 (Covid 19) RT-PCR / Antigen test within the arrival the Republic of Panama, previous to his/her registration at the immigration area, at his/her own expenses. If the result of this test is positive, the traveller will be kept in quarantine in an Hospital Hotel assigned by the Ministry of Health. In a period of seven (7) days, the traveller will be tested with the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid 19) RT-PCR / Antigen test, and if the result is negative, the traveller concluded his/her quarantine period. If the result is positive, the traveller must stay seven (7) more days in the assigned Hospital Hotel, to finish the quarantine period of fourteen (14) days.

The technical, auxiliary and mechanic crew, as well as the humanitarian personal, are exempted of compliance with this measure, but must comply with the biosecurity measures established by the Ministry of Health.
